March 2012 to Present Executive Director
Recruit, orient, and train volunteers age 55 or over to provide volunteer services to Chaves County.
Actively pursue agreements with non-profit organizations, proprietary health care agencies, and municipalities to provide locales where volunteers may serve.
Prepare reports, grant applications (electronic and written), budgets and other necessary paperwork as needed
Supervise volunteers, office staff, and interns
Attend meetings, conferences and training sessions both in Roswell and out of the city as necessary

September 2009 to March 2011. Independent Consultant (Subcontract, by project)
Litigation support for federal racial profiling case. Operationalized methodology to survey (face-to face) 400 truck drivers in southern NM. Managed project and assisted in designing instrument, data entry, and analysis.
Analyzed arrest records (six years) of a county jail to determine statistical significance of arrests by race and occupation.
Maintained Excel spreadsheets and workbooks for enrollment projections of Carlsbad Municipal School District.
Operationalized 2006 and 2011 Point in Time surveys of homeless persons in the City of Las Cruces.
Fully canvassed areas in the city identified as possible low-to moderate income areas to determine eligibility for Community Development Block Grant funds.

Using software and languages such as SPSS, SAS, SQL, TOAD, Cognos, and Excel, analyzed and reported institutional related data to appropriate state and federal agencies and intra-university departments.

Designed, implemented, analyzed, and presented city-wide Pedestrian Safety needs assessment for Department of Sociology/City of Las Cruces joint project. Methodology included observations and face-to-face interviews performed by graduate and undergraduate research classes.
Responsible for overseeing the development of recruitment and retention material and processes for the department. This included website content and design with web designer, brochure design and print, and representing the department at events promoting sociology program.
